Mozart's Requiem is a choral masterpiece whose genesis is shrouded in mystery – one that makes the piece all the more fascinating and emotionally stirring. The piece was composed in 1791 and was left unfinished at the time of his death. Interestingly, Mozart composed this Requiem with the belief it was for himself!
